Brenda O’Connor
Retired after 40 years of teaching, Brenda has since joined the Scituate/West Cork Committee, the Easter Rising Monument Committee, the South Shore Irish Heritage Trail Committee and the Scituate Visitor Center Study Group. An avid reader, she also enjoys knitting, travel, cooking, genealogy research, and writing. She is quite interested in the technicalities of pulling a story together; how to be interesting but succinct and how to find the universality in personal experience. Most of all she enjoys life with her husband and quality time with her family and friends. Scituate is a place where Brenda finds peace, the ability to relax, replenish, and restore. She believes Scituate is a great place to appreciate nature's gifts, beauty, and fury. As much as Brenda enjoys traveling the world, she can't imagine a better place to call home.
